Matt Womble

Co-Founder; Managing Director of Private Investments
Bio

Matt is Co-Founder of the EverWatch group of companies and is the Managing Director of EverWatch Capital. Prior to launching EverWatch, Matt was a Co-Managing Member of Black Beach Capital, LLC, a private equity investment partnership and the predecessor to EverWatch Capital.  From 2000 to 2006, Matt served in various senior management positions at United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI), the largest equipment rental company in the world.  Prior to his time at United Rentals, Matt served in various capacities within the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ) and before the USDOJ he was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Rhode Island.  Matt started his professional career as an attorney with the law firm now known as Edwards Wildman LLP, where he practiced in the areas of mergers, acquisitions and general corporate law.  He received his M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, his J.D. from Wake Forest University and his B.B.A. from Texas Christian University.  Matt regularly serves on the board of directors of EverWatch Capital portfolio companies.

Astrid Womble

Director and General Counsel
Bio

Astrid joined EverWatch Financial in 2012 as a Director and the General Counsel. Astrid oversees operations, including legal, philanthropy and administration. From 2005 to present, Astrid has served as the Executive Director of The Collis Foundation, a family foundation that focuses on education and basic human service needs. Astrid received her J.D. and M.B.A. from Wake Forest University and her B.A. in English from Dartmouth College.

Tyler Webb

Principal - Private Investments
Bio

Tyler joined EverWatch Capital in 2013 and is responsible for evaluating, performing due diligence on and executing direct and indirect private investments, as well as conducting ongoing analysis of existing private investments.  Prior to joining EverWatch, Tyler was responsible for business development at Ampoint, a closely-held warehousing and logistics business in Ohio.  Tyler worked for four years at a boutique investment bank focused on growth sector companies before receiving his M.B.A.  He received his M.B.A from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia and his B.A. in Political Science from Yale University.

Martin Ted Mayden

Sr. Consultant - Private Equity
Bio

Ted has over three decades of experience in investment banking and private equity investing. While an investment banker, Ted both originated and managed debt and equity capital markets and risk management businesses.  In private equity, Ted served as Head of Private Investments for GenSpring Family Offices (GFO), a $22B multi-family office and as Head of SunTrust Equity Partners (STEP), the captive private equity arm of SunTrust Banks. In total, Ted has invested in and supervised nearly $1B of commitments to a broad range of private investment strategies including direct and fund investments in domestic and international private equity, venture capital, mezzanine debt, workout/restructuring/distressed, secondaries and real estate.  He received his M.B.A. from Columbia University, his J.D. from Wayne State University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Dave Hood

Sr. Consultant - Real Assets
Bio

Dave joined EverWatch in 2013 and oversees all real estate investment and due diligence activities. In addition, Dave is a Managing Director at Sonen Capital where he co-leads the firm’s private markets activities, with an emphasis on real assets investment strategies.

Previously, Dave was a Senior Managing Director at Stanford Management Company, where he oversaw a $9B global investment portfolio of real estate, private equity and natural resources, including investments in public and private funds, direct assets and tactical overlays.  Prior to joining Stanford, Dave was a Senior Managing Director responsible for all Real Assets investment activities for Sterling Stamos. Earlier, Dave co-founded Rosenberg Hood Ventures (“RHV”), a San Francisco-based commercial real estate investment entity that acquired and developed a 1m+ sf portfolio of San Francisco office buildings. Dave was also a founding partner at Lone Star Opportunity Fund, where he held various responsibilities including acquisitions, fundraising, financing and asset management for over $4 billion in commercial mortgage debt and real estate. In addition, Dave has had over 25 years of principal real estate investment experience with a number of real estate development and investment firms including Trammell Crow, Carmel Partners, Hillman Properties, Barker Interests, and Seagate.

Dave holds a B.A. from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Stacey Tarantino

Bio

Stacey joined the EverWatch group of companies in 2011 and oversees all executive administration and office management processes. Stacey has over 25 years of experience in Executive Administration. From 1994-2011 Stacey worked for North Castle Partners Advertising, spending 8 years as the Human Resources and Office Manager and from 2009-2011 she was the Manager of Operations and Administration for their educational non-profit, FUTURE 5. Stacey graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut.

Frohman Anderson

Bio

Frohman is Co-Founder of the EverWatch group of companies and is the Managing Director of EverWatch Financial. From 2002 to 2013, Frohman was a General Partner of Champlain Capital Partners, L.P., a $140 million buyout fund. Prior to Champlain Capital Partners, Frohman was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Technology at Princess House, Inc., a direct-sales consumer products company, where he developed and implemented growth strategies and industry-leading IT solutions for a 12,000 person sales force. Prior to Princess House, Frohman was President of FCA Enterprises where he consulted several businesses, including raising and investing capital, and sourcing strategic acquisitions. In 1996, Frohman founded Inergy Online, a pioneering Internet services business, which he sold in 1998. From 1992 to 1996, Frohman was General Manager of Heart and Home, a direct-sales company with manufacturing and national retail distribution. From 1984 to 1992, Frohman worked for Cookson PLC, an industrial materials holding company, and was involved with many aspects of the company’s 100+ acquisitions and growth programs. Frohman received a B.A. in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College. Frohman currently serves on the boards of several private businesses. He is a director of The Collis Foundation.

Ted Kokas

Chief Investment Officer
Bio

Ted joined Everwatch as Chief Investment Officer in April 2016. Prior to joining Everwatch, Ted was the Chief Investment Officer of ROCH Capital, a single family office in the greater Philadelphia area. From 2008 to 2013, Ted was Global Head of Alternative Investments for SEI Investment Company in Oaks, Pennsylvania. Ted also held senior-level portfolio management positions in global macroeconomic trading and quantitative strategies for a number of leading hedge funds and institutional asset management firms including Millennium Partners in New York, Rubicon Fund Management in London, and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority in the United Arab Emirates. Ted Pursued a PhD in Finance with the EDHEC-Risk Institute and holds a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Ted holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter. He is a member of the Andover Development Board and sits on the Future of the Endowment Committee for his alma mater, Phillips Andover Academy.

Joe Monaco

Chief Financial Officer; Director of Public Equities
Bio

Joe joined the EverWatch group of companies as Chief Financial Officer in 2007, bringing 17 years of experience in the venture capital industry.  Prior to joining EverWatch, Joe was the CFO of Charles River Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm specializing in Communications & Technology, Enterprise Software & Services, and Media & Entertainment, where he was responsible for the firm’s financial, operational and administrative functions.  Prior to Charles River Ventures, Joe was the CFO of M/C Venture Partners, a Boston-based venture capital firm specializing in early-stage telecommunications and telecom-related IT investments. While at M/C Venture Partners, he served on the board of directors of Chestnut Venture Partners L.P., a licensee of the Small Business Administration’s SBIC program.  Joe is a member of the Private Equity CFO Association.  He received his M.B.A from Northeastern University and his B.S. in Finance and Investments from Babson College.

Frank DiMatteo

Staff Accountant
Bio

Frank joined EverWatch Financial as a Staff Accountant in 2008, coming from State Street Corporation. Prior to State Street, Frank held several accounting-related positions with a total of fifteen years of experience. Frank is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations for both EverWatch Financial and EverWatch Capital. Frank received his B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.
